Health & Life Insurance License:

Preparation – Attend Live and Online classes to help you prepare for the exam. Online classes are offered through WebCE which a discount through Kellogg (see WebCE on this page).

ERRORS & OMISSIONS INSURANCE:

Most Life Insurance carriers require insurance agents to have current E&O insurance for liability purposes. Minimum insurance amounts are 1M/1M. There are many ways to obtain E&O insurance, including online at napa-benefits.org. This process should only take 5-10 minutes.

REQUEST APPOINTMENTS:

Most carriers do not allow direct appointments. Agents will contract with carriers through a Field Marketing Organization (FMO) or National Marketing Alliance (NMA) such as Kellogg Insurance Marketing. If you are not associated with one of our agency owners or team leaders you may call us directly at (888) 569-2002 and ask for either Reed or Ryan. You can contact them directly through email as well at reed@kelloggins.com or ryan@kelloggins.com. We are happy to assist you in getting started in the industry.

CERTIFICATIONS:

Insurance agents who sell Medicare related products are required to complete certification modules and exams annually. These certifications become available each year around the end of June for the following year.

TRAINING:

After you have your license, appointments and certifications out of the way, getting acquainted with your FMO is top priority. Agents who are well-trained in senior related insurance products can create a thriving business with income flowing in from sales and renewals. Gaining product knowledge and gleaning from the experience of other successful agents is paramount to growing a strong, successful insurance business.
